Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: The Bible has a lot to say about the danger of pride. Why do you think pride is so bad?

Man: It’s good to feel proud of yourself. I don’t see why you would want to be worried about that.

Woman: It’s just a person who is really focused on themselves. They don’t care what other people think.

Nancy: Here’s what C.S. Lewis had to say about pride.

C.S. Lewis: The essential vice, the utmost evil is pride. Unchastity, greed, drunkenness are mere flea bites in comparison. Pride leads to every other vice. It is the complete anti-God state of mind.

Nancy: Pride is the number one roadblock to revival. It blinds us to our true spiritual condition. Psalm 10:4 says, “In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek him.”
