The Extravagant Resource
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: When God brings to mind a particular sin in your life, how do you usually respond?
Woman 1: I know what God wants me to do, but I’m not real motivated.
Woman 2: I’ll never measure up.
Woman 3: I need to work a lot harder at being good.
Nancy: Can you relate to any of those? The responses we just heard are all missing one thing—grace.
God knows that on our own we can’t live holy, obedient lives, but He gives us an incredible resource so we can live a godly life. We read about that extravagant provision in Titus 2:11-12: “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives.”
How do we live this kind of life? By God’s grace. If you’ve been trying to manage things on your own, why don’t you cry out now to God for His help?
With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
