The Fragrance of Christ
Leslie: This is Seeking Him with Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: How would you like it if someone described you by saying, “I never saw her disturbed. There was always the fragrance of Christ about her life”?
That’s how author Joseph Carroll described a busy mother of seven who he observed one time when he was a guest in her home. He happened to wake up at five o' clock in the morning, and he noticed that this woman was up and praying.
Later in the day, he asked her what time she usually got up to pray. She said, “Well, that’s not my decision. I made a choice long ago that when God wanted to have fellowship with me I would be available." She said, "There are times when He calls me at five; there are times when He calls me at six. And on occasion, He will call about two o’clock in the morning, I think, just to test me.”
If we want to be described as women who had “the fragrance of Christ” about our lives, we need to spend time in the Word and in prayer. Why not ask God to wake you up tomorrow?
With Seeking Him, I'm Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
