Three Categories
Woman 1: Whatever God brings to my mind—that’s what I pray for.
Woman 2: I pray down my list every day.
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: No matter how you organize prayer requests, I think we need to make sure to pray for three categories of things.
Leslie: This is Seeking Him, with Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
Nancy: First, pray for the advancement of Christ’s kingdom in this world.
Woman 3: Lord, hallowed be Your Name. Your name is holy. May Your name be worshiped and honored by Your people everywhere.
Nancy: We also need to pray for other people.
Woman 4: Lord, would You give wisdom to the President?
Woman 5: Please give the pastor courage to do Your will and do it in Your strength.
Nancy: Then we need to be praying for ourselves.
Woman 6: Please guard my motives and my attitudes.
Woman 7: Help me to love you with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Woman 8: Lead me with humility.
Nancy: If your praying is sporadic or seems unbalanced, why don’t you try this pattern? Pray for His kingdom, others, and then yourself.
With Seeking Him, I'm Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
