Trust When You’re Pressed Financially
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Do you find it hard to trust God when it comes to money? Specifically, the lack of money?
When I was a teenager, my dad experienced some major financial reversals in the business he had worked hard to build. Through that difficult chapter, my dad taught us that everything we have comes from, and belongs to, God.
He taught us that God is Owner of everything. He’s the Provider of every material blessing—not a business, not some kind of investment, not the stock market, not a healthy economy.
Philippians 4 says, “My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (v. 19).
Financial hardship can be an opportunity to let others see that God is able to provide. As you trust Him, others will say, “Look at her God! What a good, and faithful Provider He is. Isn’t He amazing?!”
With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
