Uncertainty and Revival
Nancy Leigh DeMoss: Does it seem to you that every day brings more bad news about the economy? Our hearts go out to those who have lost homes, have faced layoffs, or are looking at an uncertain future. In this climate, it’s no surprise that presidential candidates are talking about the economy. We have a responsibility to choose a leader who will make wise financial choices.
But we need to remember that behind all the campaign promises and all the economic news, God is in control. The truth is, in times of abundance, we tend to forget God. But when we’re in need, our hearts are humbled and we cry out to Him.
So we pray for God’s provision and thank Him when we receive it. We pray that our next president will make wise decisions. But most importantly, we need to pray that in a time of uncertainty, people will recognize their spiritual need and come to God in repentance. Now is the time for us to join together in seeking Him for revival.
With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy Leigh DeMoss.
