Wonderful Counsel

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: With the incredible accessibility of information through the Internet, both bad counsel and good advice are right at our fingertips.

But in the midst of this complex world, Christ comes to us bringing trustworthy, wonderful counsel.

Did you know in Scripture the word “wonderful” is only ever used to describe God? So even though there are some good counselors in the world, Christ surpasses them all as the Wonderful Counselor.

Jesus knows your heart. He understands your deepest longings, both good and bad. And He can help you understand the root, heart-level issues that need to be dealt with.

This Christmas let me ask you: where do you turn for counsel? Do you find yourself more often trying to advise God, or asking the Wonderful Counselor to advise you?
