Crazy people.
Trust in Jesus.
Following Him wherever we go . . .
Whoa! I almost tripped over that.
Staci Rudolph: Sorry!
Dannah: Are you in there?
Staci: Yeaaaah . . . I’m in my bunk because I’m getting some quiet time, Dannah. But let me come on out since you’re out here singing up a storm.
Ah, I didn’t think I’d make it out of there.
Dannah: How in the world, Staci, did you fit all of that stuff in there?! Your bunk is like a clown car.
Staci: Apparently, I didn’t do a great job considering Sir Squeaks-a-Lot is now a pancake.
Dannah: Oops. Sorry about that.
Staci: It’s okay. I’m the one that almost made you trip. My bad.
Dannah: No worries. But where did you get all that stuff?
Staci: Well, I just kept buying souvenirs every time we made a stop. I couldn’t help myself.
Dannah: Oh boy. Well, no more souvenirs for you! Your bunk looks like a crazy person lives in there.
Staci: Fair enough. By the way, did I hear you singing “Crazy People” on your way back here? Was that an invite to cue it up?
Dannah: You know what? Why not? Let it play, DJ!
Staci: You got it! Here’s “Crazy People.”
Song: “Crazy People”
Who builds a boat with no clouds in sight?
Who walks up to a giant and picks a fight?
Who turns a lion's den into a petting zoo?
Who can have a church in the firey furnace? I'll tell you:Crazy people trust in Jesus,
Following Him wherever He leads us,
Kingdom seekers, walk-by-faith believers,
Here's the church, here's the steeple
Here's to all God's crazy people.Who brings a Bible into a public school?
Who shares a gospel even when the world calls them a fool? (Don't call me a fool.)
And who's not afraid to go against the flow?
Well, cancel me and call me one of those,
'Cause I'm one of those.Crazy people trust in Jesus,
Following Him wherever He leads us,
Kingdom seekers, walk-by-faith believers,
Here's the church, here's the steeple
Here's to all God's crazy people.
I'm one of those crazy people. (I'm one of those crazy people.)Who sees the world as a mission field? (Crazy)
Who talks to Jesus like He's real? (Crazy)
Who believes the words in red? (Crazy)
Who says He's coming back again? (Crazy)Crazy people trust in Jesus,
Following Him wherever He leads us,
Kingdom seekers, walk-by-faith believers,Here's the church, here's the steeple
Here's to all God's crazy people.
His crazy people, (Crazy people)
I'm one of those, I'm one of those crazy people.1
Staci: Man, we hardly have to open our Bibles after that song! I mean, it’s full of stories from the Word of God about crazy people . . . and I wanna be one of those crazy people—the kind who does amazing things for God, even if they seem crazy to others.
Dannah: I’d say you already are, Staci! I mean, how many people leave home to live on a bus with ten strangers so they can travel all around the nation telling girls and their moms about Jesus?
Staci: Oh wow, you’re right. That does sound pretty crazy
Dannah: And it was crazy worth it, right?!
Staci: Absolutely! There’s nothing like following Jesus and watching the amazing things He does for His glory.
Dannah: I agree, Staci, normal is overrated! When people think I’m being too crazy or doing something too courageous for God, I love to remember 2 Corinthians 5:14. It says:
If I acted crazy, I did it for God; . . . Christ’s love has moved me to such extremes. His love has the first and last word in everything we do.
God has the first and last word in everything I do!
Staci: Me too! Just like Noah, Daniel, David, and everyone else who trusted God. And with the encouragement of His love, they did any and everything God wanted them to do. Crazy people seek God and do whatever He asks of them. Normal really is overrated. It’s time to be crazy for Jesus.
Dannah: Yes ma’am! But I think I’ve gotta say this: I don’t think He wants you to keep your bunk so crazy.
Staci: Maybe you’re right.
Claire: Talk about a crazy episode! Are you willing to follow Jesus wherever He leads? Even if it makes you seem a little crazy? Standing out from the crowd can be tough, but it’s always worth the sacrifice.
